Start with the building, not just a unit count
For a Chicago house or multi-unit property, describe the current layout and which spaces are occupied, vacant or unfinished. If you have code notices or vacant-building records, mention them at the start and retain the documents for appropriate private review. Chicago’s vacant-building resources explain the city process and point owners toward building information. Do not assume that an empty building has no ongoing responsibilities, or that a proposed sale resolves an open issue by itself.
